My first project from proposal…

Well, today’s a big day.  I’m about to pop into the mail my very first project that is written from a proposal and a contract signed without the work being presented first.  Feels like a big milestone in a writer’s career when you can get paid for a project up front, based on your previous work and reputation ; )
YAY!  It’s a shorter (4000 word) piece for 9-10 year olds learning English.  I’m pretty excited – this is the year I’m going to get back into being a writer and not just doing administrative work all the time!
All you writers out there – don’t forget the ESL market as an opportunity to get published!  It’s a great way to build your resume, and they even pay you for your work ; )
